Default 2003 Town & Country

I have a 03 Town and Country and the dash lights are not working. The speedometor and such are all working I just don't have lights when it is dark. The lights that light up the radio and heater instruments belong to the same problem. Any suggestions

either the headlight switch which can be ruled out by seeing the inputs to the BCM or the BCM it self is the prob because the drivers for the lights are in the BCM.
Expensive part 400 or so

Perhaps this thread will help Dash Lights, etc.

If you can isolate the problem to the BCM, I would check the solder joints before dropping $400, if you're a DIY type. From my reading, I've gathered that poor solder joints are prevalent (sp?) in these vehicles in both the BCM & the PCB behind the gauges in the dash, and tend to cause a host of electrical problems. Although one would normally think that cold solder joints would not be visible to eye, I've heard that with these problems, you can often actually see the poor joint. No experience doing this myself, just what I've heard done.

HEY webbch wrong year the cluster boards were issues on older NS from 96 to 2000. THe RS which is what he has does not have that sorta probs with the cluster his is all controled by the BCM with high side drivers. There is no broken solder points like on the older ones.
dont get a junk yard bcm either u will be asking for more probs because of the setup on the one u will be taking out. When a BCM is put into the car it is vin burned to that can only so it knows what stuff it is build with from the factory by the vin number.
