Default 2003 Town & Country will not start

Hi,
I have a 2003 Town & Country LX, it has stood for a while but started regularly. The battery died a couple of weeks ago, jump started ok and ran no problem. Then started, ran for a few seconds and stopped, did this twice, then nothing... not even cranking. I have been using the passenger door to get in and out and noticed that the drivers door was not unlocking with the key fob and there were no dash lights.... put new batteries in the key fob and the drivers door unlocks now and dash lights are on... but still no cranking.
A friend put a connection straight to the starter solenoid and it cranked ok but no start so it seems something has shut down, coulds it be a BCM problem ... any ideas ?

Hmm, yes I'd be worried the BCM has had a spike somehow and isn't happy/fried.

At a total guess either before the flat battery the alternator/diode pack failed and gave some nasty spikes through the electrical system, or the process of jump starting has sent a nasty spike doing the same thing.

I think I'd be hoping for a total clear to reset it, battery disconnected for 24hrs I'd say, let it totally drain (Put battery on charge overnight so it's good and topped up) then connect battery and try things like the remote, etc and see what happens.

Good luck

Trouble is BCM is coded to the car, so you'd need dealership or at least a very experienced 3rd party to do that replacement I believe.

There has been a LOT on this website about your very problem, but you'll have to go back a few years. Just check my contributions.
