2005 2.5d voyager reverse lights not working

hi folks i have a voyager manual gear box and i think the reverse light switch on the gearbox may be faulty, does this sound like a likely faul? i dont think both bulbs have gone... maybe a fuse?

there is a reversing light switch on the gearbox, page from the manual attached.
I cant find a wiring diagram specific to a manual gearbox but from looking at the wiring diagrams it seems things aren't as simple as they used to be. The reversing light is fed from the Body Control Module - Connector C2, Pin9 White/ Light Green wire. Where the BCM gets the signal that you are in reverse is not shown for a manual car - for an auto box it's a data message from the gearbox ECU.

Testing the reversing light switch should be easy once you get underneath, just use a multimeter to test for a change in continuity bewteen the two terminals as you change in and out of reverse.

Regards
Richard
