I have 2005 T&C changer with an apparently common problem that I can't find a solution to.

After I replaced the battery, the 6 DVD changer started flashing the three left lights/three right lights. I tried disconnecting battery and leaving it off for about ten minutes to reset it. Still flashing alternating lights.

I took the DVD out, dissembled it, took all but one DVD out, put it back together. Still flashing alternating lights. (Perhaps taking the last one out would have mattered.)

Some people say it can't be fixed. Some people say they have fixed it, but they don't tell how.

Does anyone have any ideas? Leaving on a road trip next weekend with the kids and this will be painful if I can't find a solution.
