2005 T&C roof rack carrier options?

Hello, I have a 05 T&C with factory siderails and NO cross bars. Are there any roof top carriers in existence that wouldmount without having to install crossbars?(Thule and Yakima seem to need crossbars) The width is 42". We will only need to use this maybe twice a year for vacations and don't want to spend money on accessories we don't need. Any ideas?

I've just removed my cross bars as I rarely use them, but they are good for occasional use and are much easier than any other option you may come up with - I would suggest contacting a breakers yard to see if they have the cross bars, or keep and eye on ebay for second hand bars.
