Unhappy 2007 G/Voyager Executive 2.8 CRD Air con gone!

When starting from cold and on tick over noticed a faint jingling rattle when air con turned on.Switch a/c off rattle stopped. A/c was working fine, but today no a/c. Am I right in thinking a/c compressor clutch fell apart and is it available separately or not.
Regards John.
