Angry 2008 T&C Sto and Go

My 3rd row seats have been stowed for about 5 months. I opened them and they stopped in the middle of unfolding and will not open or return to storage. How do I fix this? Thanks

Assuming it is the power stow and go, have you checked the fuse? (J1)

Yes it is the power sto n go seating. When I push the buttons, the seats move a little bit then stop. I have tried moving the individually and together including the tailgate position but they always do the same thing. Move a little, then the motor groans and they stop. The manual says they are supposed to go back to the original position if the hit an obstacle. Nothing I do seems to make them work properly. Thanks for your help.

I find it odd that this is happening to both of your seats. This happened to our van but only with one seat (the larger partition). The other partition was fine. In our case it turned out to be a motor. The seat would stow flat, and come out of the seat well but would stop before the seat back opened. We had the motor replaced under warranty.

Thanks for the information. Both seats were unstowed and there was a cardboard box in the way. They both stopped but according to the manual were supposed to return to the stowed position when they hit an obstacle. They stopped and will not go either up or down. I may pull the fuse for a bit to see if that will reset something in the system. Thanks again for your reply.

Funny you mention the cardboard box. I just noticed today that when I tried to unstow my seats, a piece of carpet was just a little in the way and the seat back would not raise. Once I removed the carpet, I was able to raise the seat back.

You can't restow the seats at all? Perhaps try raising the seat bottom and removing the cardboard? Good luck.
