2008 Town & Country front defroster not keeping up with winshield icing.

Default 2008 Town & Country front defroster not keeping up with winshield icing.
Tonight it is 18 degrees and snowing. Front defroster isn't keeping up with ice formation on windshield. I have to keep pulling off the road and scraping the ice off. Any ideas to troubleshoot this problem besides leaving Michigan and moving to a warmer climate???

I would suggest checking coolant level first, if that looks ok check and make sure the a/c is kicking on.
