Hi!

We just bought a used 2010 T&C Touring edition, and are really enjoying the upgrade from our old van. It is loaded with a pretty nice set of features, and surprisingly almost all of them work. The one that is most ****ling is the driver mirror motor is nonresponsive, but that should be an easy fix.

My question, though, is about the VES/DVD system. There are two rear screens, but it appears that there are only IR emitters on the 2nd row/middle seats? Is that right? Are there supposed to be IR emitters in the rearmost (3rd row) unit as well, or just the middle?

For the IR remote this isn't a problem, but in some quick testing with the IR headphones I found that if i sat in the middle of the back seat, and the storage doors are open it blocks the IR signal and makes it very crackly/unreliable. Closing them improves things somewhat but it still isn't quite rock solid.

So I thought I would ask about the location of the emitters to find out if the back ones are broken or if they just aren't there to begin with. I can see them in the middle (2nd row) unit, but I can't see anything in the rear.

Could someone with a 3rd row DVD player please take your cell phone camera and point it at the black portion in front of the DVD player(s) and see if you can see the LEDs in the middle (2nd) row player and then see if your 3rd row player has them as well? Please?

 

Just updated, someone elsewhere took cellphone pictures of their system and it behaves the same as mine, only the 2nd row IR emitters work.
