Fan motor blowing continouously.
Car 2003 Voyager LTD 2.5CRD with Automatic climate control.
Not sure if this fault refers to the threads, heater only runs on high, because mine runs all the time on high as soon as you put ignition on. High might not be the right word though, as when you turn the power off on the control bezel it blows even higher.
So like the other threads, is this the resistor pack at fault and going further the thermistor on the pack.
I once repaired one of these packs a on another car by replacing the thermistor with a switch type one, so instead of it killing itself it switches off until it cools down then switches back on.
Thanks guys.

If i remember correctly there is a blower control relay in the IPM, it's possible that the relay has welded it's contacts shut. Would have to look through the circuit diagrams to confirm if that would cause the symptoms.
If the hedgehog was faulty the I doubt the blower would change speed, again would have to check diagrams to confirm

Right, heater resistor module replaced to stop fan running all the time as soon as ignition turned on. Didn't think it was the resistor as the resistor is usually the fault when blower only runs in high position and not at all in lower speeds.
When IPM checked the relay was found ok and not welded contacts.
The fan relay connectors in IPM were however live and powering the relay coil all the time even with ignition key out. (Key must initiate the fan earth or summit).
Resistor (module) has 4 connections as for internal resistor of course but also another 2 connections which by looks of it control the power and make it a control module if you see what I mean.
I'll need to watch that vid on you tube again headed blower fan runs all the time, but it's schematic only shows a 4 connector resistor. See pics for this.
