Default 2013 t&c passive entry not working

Hey guys i would really appreciate some help.
my wife's 2013 town & country's passive entry stopped working and I dont know how to fix it.
she has keyless entry along with the extra passive entry feature where among other things the doors unlock when you get close with the key fob.
the push to start button also doesn't work so we took out the button and start it with the key.
everything else on the key fob works fine, doors unlock with the button, remote start usually works.
it's more of an annoyance but it would be cool to be able to use the push to start and stuff like we used to.
do you guys have any idea how to fix that? i had a dealership look at it but they were no help.
Thanks!

Did you try a new battery in the fob? Maybe the fob battery is strong enough for the door locks etc, but too weak for the passive entry etc.

We have tried new batteries and even new key fobs. It's my understanding that these are 2 different systems? The normal keyless entry and the additional passive entry.

Batteries continually in both are 24/7 looking for the elusive proximity.
