I have a 2013 T&C that when the rear liftgate is opened using the FOB, it goes about 3/4 of the way open then starts to "ratchet" up and down until it finally opens the entire way. When you try to close it, it starts to close & gets about 1/4 of the way down then starts the "ratcheting" again & ultimately opens back up. I am not sure if there is a way to re-calibrate or re-learn the liftgate opener. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's possible that one of the connectors may need to be cleaned and secured. I would recommend having your local servicing dealership take a look at the liftgate to assist in obtaining an accurate diagnosis.

Did you ever figure out what was wrong? I’m having the same issue with mine. The wires were replaced today but that didn’t fix anything.

 

my 06 did close to same thing few years back and i changed out the struts... good as new for me ...??? cheap try
