I have a 97 T&C with the 3.8L v-6 i'm getting a po700 code from the key on/key off test after my service engine soon light came on yesterday evening. From what i could find on this code is that the transmission control module could be going out or is already out, i noticed this am that it would stick in 3rd gear until i stopped and shutoff the engine and waited for about 1 min then restarted and tried again and it shifted fine all the way home. I am taking it to autozone to have it scanned to make sure this is the problem if it is, what should i replace or look for as far as replacing anything? Any information on this will be greatly appreciated.

 

no its not a tranny computer going bad it mean that U need to take it to a tranny shop or dealer so they can get the codes from the tranny computer and see what to be fixed.
