Default 98 Voyager alarm issues

Hi all,

First post so be gental

Have a 98 voyager and randomly over the last couple of months i come to start the car and the alarm light on the dash flashes the car will start and then it dies. Also the dials on the console are dead as if they have no power. Even today while driving in the alarm light flashed and then all the dials died, think the only reason the engine carried on runing is that is has LPG. I have seen a few article about this issue and some talk about problem behind the wood dash by the air flow control and others talk about problems with the instrument console. But all in all a bit lost at the moment and don't really want to pay chrysler loads of money to tell me they have no idea also.

Thanks for any help / things to try to sort this one out.

Pete

Hi
Remove the heater control panel (only 4 screw then it pops off) and just have a look at the 21 pin plug and see if it's melted.
