ac blows hot, gas fine and pump kicks in
i have an 05 grand voyager, the air con blows hot air and wont cool down. i have had the gas checked and it is full and the pump kicks in when turned on any ideas out there.
thanks
thanks
gas may be ok but you need to find out if the compressor suction and discharge pressures are different when running if not compressor is not working . this could be caused by compressor fault or a sensor fault. you probubly will have to go to a garage.
Does it run hot air on all speeds or just high? My van did this and I had to replace the blower resistor. It cost me $36 for a wiring harness from the dealer and $15 for the resistor from O'Reilly's Auto Parts.
Good luck!!!!
Good luck!!!!
2004 with a 3.8l it seems to blow cool, but not cold. Seems worse when temps outside are over 90 degrees. The compressor engages for about 15 seconds then off for 30 and this cycle continues. Checked the pressure on the low side and when the compressor is not engaged it reads 70 and when the compressor is engaged it drops to 55. Any ideas if this is correct.
Not to hi jack, but I have the same problems with my '99 T&C. Had the freon checked today, fine, engage the A/C the clutch pulls in and the suction increases, as it should.
I cycled the controls heat-A/C several times and the thud of the damper or blend door sounded like it moved. I now have a little more cooler air, But by no means it is NOT corrected.
My mech said he believed it to be the damper door. BTW I just replaced the steering rack and had the steer column floor cone pushed up in to the underside of the dash. No sure this would have impacted anything.
Where is the Blend Damper, and where / how is it controlled??? I just purchased the Haynes manual, but it appears to be disapointing in this area.
Thanks for all the assistance, I am new to this board and hope to provide as much as I take.
