grand voyager 02 LX CRD

Alarm goes off randomly - say once a week. It is stopped by unlocking and relocking from key fob.
2 questions!
a) any thoughts what might cause it?
b) is there anyway I can disable the alarm (the neighbours dont like it!)
(at moment I am having to leave unlocked - because it wakes us up in middle of night!)

Get the battery tested and a battery drain test done just to rule that out. Also lock it 3 times on the fob till it bleeps or the lights double flash, this turns off intrusion sensors so you know if it's that that sets it off.
