Hey guys my alternator seems to have problem.. giving 11.9 v with engine on. I have ordered a spare one. I was thinking to attempt myself.
is there a video guide or instruction manual available ? All I could find on you-tube was for 3.3 or 3.8 engine where the alternator is near the drive wheel. but in my car it next to engine on the top.(image attached).
I could not find any info for that.

Search 2,5 CRD it's the same set up.

1. Just release the belt with a 14mm spanner if I remember right on the auto adjuster carefull it's spring loaded.
2. Remove top bracket

Then you can remove the alternator

 

Thanks mate. I created a video while i was replacing mine with scattered information i had collected. in the end i was succusfully able to replace the alternator.
