Wink Auto sump pan...

Hi guys...

We've not long bought a 56 (2007 model year?) plate Grand Voyager Ltd 2.8L XS and I'm going to change the trans fluid with some Millers ATF+4 fluid and a new genuine filter. I'd like to be able to get all the old (80k) stuff out and put all new in rather than just draining some 4/5 Ltr, but I don't know (And never drained an auto box) where the return lines are?

There isn't a drain plug on the box so it looks like a pan drop! Is there a pan out there that I can buy with a drain? I know they have them in the States for the 41TE auto's.

Also my car is chucking up some fault codes when I use the "Key dance"... P0380 & P0487

Cheers

41TE's in the US don't have a drain plug, you need to drop the pan. Even then you'll only get 4-5 quarts out. Most of the fluid stays in the upper trans and torque converter. There's a thread in the Sebring forum here by a guy named Davekro who describes his efforts to change all the fluid with some success.

As for your codes, start looking here:

Many thanks for the info mate... I'll take a look at the thread and get some pointers on how to get the job done. I wonder if there is anything on Youtube? Might be worth a scan...

Cheers
