Default A/C

When I switch on the A/C bad smell appairs and cooling is not good. Whats the problem, please

What year? What kinda smell. My wifes compressor went recently. When she turned it on you could smell burnt rubber (The Belt) Turns out this happens often and its covered by a seperate 7/70 warranty just on the a/c system

Might be a leaking/corroded evaporator up under the dash, a common problem. Really expensive to have changed. About $150 plus about $150 for recharge at CAR-X if you do it yourself....have to take out the entire dash though.

what year t/c??? the new ones dont have issues with evap not like the older ones
