I have a Town and Country 2014 and recently had the transmission replaced.

I noticed that when I use the manual shifter it stays in the last gear when I come to a stop, if I don't downshift. At a complete stop the the indicator shows lets say for example I was in 4th gear. It shows 4th gear still.

This does not do that with my 2016 Fiat and I don't recall my van doing this before the transmission change but the dealer is saying this is normal. Either way it is not safe.

Any experts here that know of this?
