code clearing
Hi Guys,
i have done some work on the grand voyager (2001 2.5 crd) but am still getting the warning light and engine code keeps coming on when i check for it. the yellow engine light comes on as soon as the ignition goes on.... so it can't have been abble to check the fuel rail pressure. Is there a way of clearing this code and resetting the computer by using some of them sneaky mechanics tricks?
thanks

Hi
It should clear on it's own "IF" the fault is no longer there. I think it is something like 3 good trips (not starts, trips) without the fault will but the light out and something like 20 to clear the code. Can't remember off the top of my head the correct number.

merlin,
thanks for this help. when i changed the fuel filter it was a mess with slimy like gunk in it. i don't think it limped home. I think it had fuel starvation. Mrs interlock had driven it home and from her account it sounded like a limp home mode but i don't think so now.
Thanks again

If you had a load of slimy goo in the fuel filter, there may be more of that stuff in the tank. You may need to change the filter more than once to get it all.
Sounds like you got a load of bad gas somewhere.
