Default colour codes for stereo grand voyager

Hi I am currently without a radio as the previous owner snipped of the standard connector and just left a pile of wires. I am putting in an aftermarket radio anyway but got a bit of repair work and soldering to do. Would anyone know the colour codes for the radio wires? it has the infinity stereo speakers (6 I think) and I don't want to do any damage.

Thanks.
Robert.

so go to your local dodge dealer and ask for a printout of the wiring diagram for the radio circuit. i have US spec wiring diagrams for 1998 but I don't know if UK uses the same wire colors.

Thanks to you both. Unfortunately the last owner must have done a right butchers job on the wires as there are not that many and some of the colours do not apply though I suppose that could be because it a uk spec. Thanks anyway I now have an idea what to look for when trying to work out what is what.

Thanks again.
Even with no sounds I still love the car.

Hi, I took an aftermarket stereo out of my 98 lx, I still have the wiring loom which had been welded on to the existing Chrysler wires, it is easy to see what goes where. If you put your address on my private page I will send it up to you.

Hi Adamcc, That is very kind of you and thanks for that. I am going to put in a DVD system for the kids so I dunno if what you have would help. In the mean time I have a cheap stereo that I just need basic wiring for I am not intending on putting in an original and therefore don't really need the chrysler wiring connector as that would mean an ISO adapter anyway. I have downloaded a wiring spec so should be able to work it out from that and the trusty old multimeter. If I get stuck can I come back to you.

Thanks again for the help.
Very Kind.

Just as an aside issue as we have similar cars in age and both LX models does your car have cetral locking or is it power locks using the switch inside the car?

Robert.
