Drain fuel tank
My '94 GV finally gave up the ghost (tranny and oil pump in one shot), of course it happened just after we filled up the tank. Before I send it off to the junk yard I'd like to get out as much of the fuel as possible. I tried putting a hose down the filler neck, but something is blocking it. I managed to get a 1/4" hose to go down enough to get out 1/4 tank, but that still leaves 3/4 tank in there.
Any ideas? I tried looking up underneath to find where the filler hose connects to the tank, but it seems to be a solid metal line from the tank up as far as I can see. Wasn't sure about the wisdom of drilling a hole into the tank, but I'm sure that would tick off the junk yard as well. |
RE: Drain fuel tank
well you would have to either drop the fuel tank and get it out through the fuel pump opening or drill a hole into the tank. choice is yours but i would just drill the hole.
