Unhappy EGR Valve

I purchased a comprehensive 7yr extended warrantee for my 2007 Town & Country. This week the engine light went on: I took it to the dealer. The EGR valve needed replacing. The vehicle has 41,000 miles.

My question is: Should this be covered under the extended warantee? Also, the warrantee states that if the work is done at the dealer the car was purchased at, it was a no deductible service. The problem is the dealership was closed by Chrysler and they referred me to one in our area.

I feel this part should be covered. We have had many vehicles over the years, and not one of them did we have to replace this part. My old Dodge had 135, 000 miles!!! The service manager said the part is a regular maintance item....like oil, tires, brakes, etc. This is part of the emissions system which was specifically part of the extended warantee. Help!!
