EGR valve plumbing
1 Attachment(s)
Hi All
Having taken off the EGR valve, cleaned it and refitted I seem to have a vacuum connection left over with no visible pipe to fit to it. I know I should have taken a photo before taking it off but .................... Anyway I've attached a pic of what I have now. Does anyone have a plumbing diagram or photo so I can what's wrong. Thanks John |

Hi there,
I've had to do a little fix to one of these two pipes so I know the upper one goes backwards and round to the right of the engine bay. The other goes to the left. My guess is it's gone back inside the trunking. Here is a pic of the valve on mine and where the pipes go back to initially, hopefully you'll spot them. If not I can probably take a more in-depth photo later of where they end up with a bit of rummaging around! https://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/...1&d=1499781687 https://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/...1&d=1499781687 Hope that helps! |
Looked at mines, the pipe you've got on the 3rd one down is for the second one down, that you're missing.
The 3rd one down on mines is blanked off, same as the one in Andys picture. |
Thanks
I'll swap them over tomorrow and see it that's it |
Ahh! Good spot Scotsman4th, I totally missed that part.
Hope that's it then fragmented, don't forget to post back on if it's all sorted. |
I'm off to the garage, where it's been for a week, to check it out.
Fingers crossed |
An update on this.
Despite trying all possible options with the plumbing I still get an error code for the EGR. My mechanic, who is also a friend, suggested I either blank it off or buy a new one. Went for the blank off - this didn't cure it either so he remapped it taking the EGR out. Still not running right. It runs fine on the flat or downhill but any sort of incline and the engine shudders and vibrates, I can accelerate through the vibration. If I floor it, clouds of black smoke. If this problem indicates anything to anyone please let me know. Thanks |
Check out Turbo Actuator and hose to it from boost side of turbo.
