Default Flexible section in hard brake lines ? ??

hey everyone, I have a 1999 T&C Ltd taht has sprung a leak in one of the brake line running to the rear wheels. I'm all prepped to drop the tank, and I'm getting sadly good at bending and flaring my own replacement lines. All good until I see that the leak seems to be right under the driver's seat where both the rear brake lines seem to have a section of flex line crimped in.

Now I'm guessing it's to help accomodate body roll or engine torgue or something. I'm juts curious whether I'm looking at dealer only here for some specialty piece? Anyone know?

Or is it possible to work in two short sections of flex hose with couplings instead of crimped fit? Or ditch the flex altogether?

Any opinions and help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank
Chad
