Default FREEZE PLUG REPLACEMENT

Hello,

My wife's 1999 Town & Country ran hot. Towed to repair shop. Stated freeze plug came out. Stated had to remove transmission to replace missing freeze plug.

Question: Are there any freeze plugs that are unaccesible and require the removal of the transmission?

Thank You

Default RE: FREEZE PLUG REPLACEMENT

I too just had this happen. Apparently there is a freeze plug in there somewhere. It looks like the engine & tranny need to come out of the vehicle to repair the plug.

Question - having never pulled an engine from this type of vehicle, what should I expect. Given what I think needs to be done, I'm thinking I'll be in there for about 2 days. Does anyone else have an experiance they can share with me?
