Default Front blower stopped working (for a while)

Yesterday my heating (front) blower stopped working.
I checked the front blower relay and the fuse but they seem fine to me. I waited for a while and checked the wires behind the glovebox but did find nothing unusual... suddenly the blower started working again

This has happened twice to me in the past few months..

Is there some known problem with this blower?

NB due to the known maximum setting blower problem I replaced the resistor already some year ago.

Do you have Auto temp control HVAC or manual control. Just a few months ago I posted a saga of a thread about my 04 with ATC...Not a quick and easy job, but replace the blower motor, they get sticky on the motor's bearings(bushings) and bind up. Manual control HVAC system can do the same thing, as it is the same blower motor.
Good luck, 1 mounting screw is kind of a pain to get at(had to cut out some carpet underlay to get room, and then put back in).

Hi to all

New user here and I'd like to borrow an old thread.

So, I have 2006 T&C (made in Canada) and moved to Finland in 2007.

Front blower is working and not working.
- on one winter morning (-25C or -13F) front blower did not work at all
- tested the motor with jumped 12V and it runs on full speed
- ordered new control module (I have automatic climate), no help
- changed front blower relay, no straight help
- changed fuse, no straight help
- got it working a bit later (car was staying in warm carage) for no specific reason

It worked few weeks nicely, but stopped again on last Sunday.
It made strange behavior as when I started the car, nothing. Then after 5min ride it started to work again.

So, I have made some measurings at the control unit where are 2 connectors, big connector (3 cables) and small (2 cables, this goes straight to blower motor).
Big connector:
- 12V, when ignition is 'ON'
- control voltage, changing according to fan speed setting in the dashboard dial
- ground

When motor connector is off, there is max 12V (battery voltage) on the pins and when you change the fan setting on the dial it reduces some. Seems OK to me.
BUT, when the blower motor connector is connected, there is only arounf 1,12V at the connector. So, blower motor is not running.
Suggestions, or where I could find schematics of the system?

I think that there might be some grounding issue, as the blower motor works normally when you keep the car in the warm carage overnight.
But, like today, as I drove to store (-10C / 14F) everything worked nicely from warm carage, but when the car stayed 1h at out, it didn't work anymore.

Frustrating!

So, if anyone has good ideas or datasheets, I'd be very grateful!
