Default Fuel Guage

I'm not sure if this is normal for tghis kind of minivan, but when ever I park either facing up a hill, or facing down a hill, the fuel guage is really badly inacurate, so much so that if i have a quater of tank left before i park on a hill, when i get back in, and staart her up, I apparently have no fuel, which ofcourse is unture.

Is there something that can be done to stop this or is it just something i'm going to have to live with?

Also it takes a very long time to move back to the correct level once i'm on flat ground.

Any ideas ?
