Default Grand Voyeger Engine Noise

Hi All, I have a UK Spec. Grand Voyager 3.3L auto which has just reached 70,000 miles. Today when I started the engine I noticed a rattle/whining noise from the right hand side of the engine. It sounds like the bearings have gone on one of the pullies? I have removed the wheel and splash guard and it seems to be comming from the Crankshaft or vibration damper. could this be the problem and is it a common thing?
