Grinding sound coming from front end, particularly when accelerating
Hello all
I've been experiencing a strange noise coming from the front of my 2002 Town & Country 3.3L for a while now. Grinding is the best way I can think to describe the sound. It sounds like metal churning. It's present at all times, increases in volume and intensity while accelerating, and eases off a little once the car kicks into gear around 40mph. It's extremely worrying and I've no clue what it could be. From what I've read it could be the motor mounts.
Looking for any opinions or thoughts on the subject?
Thank you in advance

Having had a number of that generation of vans, Yes the best place to start is checking the motor mounts. I have had a few with either the front or trans mount go bad and cause the noise you describe. The trans mount is somewhat "buried" in it's location, but quite common to go bad on those earlier year vans.
