Default I.o.d. Fuse

Hi All
I have just joined this site so not sure if i am posting this in the right place so apologies if it's wrong.
I have a 2004 Chrysler Voyager 2.5 CRD that the central locking stopped working on. I searched the internet and found quite a few people saying to remove and refit the I.O.D fuse and that it would reset a few things, one of them being the auxiliary heater?. I did this and sure enough my problem was solved. The strange thing is that this morning i went out and i put the heating on and as normal, the little light came on to say that the auxiliary heating had been activated and i got warm air. The only problem is that the auxiliary heating did not switch off as it normally would and even though the car was up to temperature, the auxiliary heating stayed on? Is this because i removed the fuse and is there something i have to do to reset the heater?
Thanks

Paul

What do you mean by up to temperature as you will be asked this by many on here. 1/4 on temp gauge, or 1/2, or between, as this is a clue to us.

Hi
The temperature sits just under half on the gauge and never rises above that which i presumed normal?

Thanks

Yes same as mine after having thermostat replaced. Aux Heater should only run up till working temp, as you said just below half. Why it doesn't stop is a question mark with these cars as they have a master brain of their own. But must be something to do with a temp switch in coolant system.

Not sure, i just find it strange that this only happened after removing / refitting the iod fuse. The aux heater still shuts itself off after 5 minutes but if i then turn off the interior heating and back on again, the aux heater kicks in for another 5 minutes, even though the car temp is just below half. Maybe just something i will have to live with.

Sorry, i worded my first post wrong..it does switch off but as i said above, it comes on when putting the heater on, regardless of whether the engine is up to temperature or not.
