Default immobilizer light

Hi I have a problem with my 2002 grand voyager when I insert the ignition key the immobilizer lights remains on and will not go off and the engine cannot start. The battery is not flat as all the other functions seems to work.... So what is the problem and how do I fix it?

P.S I know its not a problem of using the wrong key because this is the same key I have been using these past years.... Any thanks is greatly appreciated!

Well, it COULD be the key.

Use your other key for a while, if that works OK it's the first key.

If you have the same problem with thje second key it's the immobilizer in the car. Maybe one of the Techs on the Forum knows if there is a problem with these units, and if reprogramming a "flaky" key would fix it.
