tfb----Richard-------spent ages today going through my air-bag fault----thanks Richard---------It looks like both the front impact sensors (satellite speed sensor) need replacing-----------I have spent ages searching and cannot find any online----even Rock-Auto don't list them
I have tried to find the part No. for them-------any ideas?????-------I suspect I may finish up giving main dealer my hard-earned--------------I have seen second hand ones --but reckon they maybe as bad as mine ????

I read that once deployed, they have to be replaced---so they must be available

Once my wife got home I compared the readings on her voyager and they differ considerably from yours, so I'm confident yours are knackered.

I did also read that a 'module' that controls them has to be replaced after deployment-------could you tell if they had been deployed---or just knackered ???

I have been trying to locate these sensors-------------so far been offered 4 different part No's -----------where did this No come from ??-----I thought it would be quite straight forward-----one dealer said there are FOUR in the front of the car-----been quoted £28---£45 each (in UK)
I daren't order from US as I am not sure I will get the correct ones

the No. you quote calls it a kit----but one dealer reckons it is just one sensor-----I wondered if a 'kit' would include the pair---or even the module that controls them ?????????

This could be interesting-----------------I have just been informed that there is a re-call notice on my car-----------------------------FOR FRONT IMPACT SENSORS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The garage that told me could do the work if it was an American car-----but as it is 'European' it must be done by a 'British' Chrysler dealer----I am gutted for that garage as they would have been paid by Chrysler-------I have given the VIN No. THREE Chrysler dealers and none of them picked it up

looks like the kit contains bolts, washers etc. But the quantity is for 2. Heres the full details

05170520AA QTY 2 [FRONT IMPACT SENSOR 04896023AA, WASHER, FLAT ROUND 06102223AA SCREW, HEX HD 06505838AA ] Up front
sensor up to 05/24/04

The kit changes to
05175978AB QTY 2 After 05/24/04

so i guess the actual sensor is 04896023AA, and from the service manual there are only TWO front impact sensors

Some of the part Nos that I have got start to make sense now
I am leaving to Chrysler at the moment because of the recall--------have to take it in on Thursday----we will need all the luck we can find to get it fixed for free !!!!!!!!
How on earth to you get access to parts manuals like that ????????-----VERY handy!!!!!!!!!!!
