Thumbs up injector seal fail...

Our 2007 2.8L oil burner has an injector seal blowing! I can hear it and started to smell the fuels coming into the cabin. Anyone know if these "O" rings are either copper or Aluminium? The reason why I ask is that Toyota had problems on there Land Cruisers due to them fitting the wrong ones that reacted with the fuel and caused engine failure.

Thats good to hear they were copper. Out of interest, how much was it for the 4 recon injectors?

Just like 3000hp Diesels they use copper washers too, annealed washers that is. Use only once unless you reface them and anneal again. Not worth the bother though.

Not for the Voyager, but when I bought new bits for the injectors, I got copper washers and something similar to this....

Cheers Scotsman for the link. Well s quick update on the seal. Looks like its holding a in the gasses and the engine is running as sweat as a nut! Now that the new alternator is on and the power steering belt and Aux belt change. The tensioner was done at same time, so was the idle roller. Gotta love these VM Motori Marine diesel engines...

I am after some advice.
Got two used injector from a friend who scrapped his car. The questions are how to store them. I'm not sure that I need to change them, but I took them as a spare for future. I was thinking about keeping them in acetone (when plastic parts removed). Any ideas?

Other worry is that they damaged the thread a little bit . Will I have a problems to install them?

?
