Hi

I am about to do a timing belt change on my Voyager 12/2003 2.5 CRD. I have managed to lock the inlet cam, the flywheel but can't figure out how to get access to the exhaust plug which needs to be removed so that the exhaust cam can be locked.

The area is very tight with what seems to be an exhaust pipe attached by a bracket to the engine block. The problem is that there's very little room between the firewall and the exhaust side of the engine (engine is fitted transversely).

Note, I do need to remove the cams... as I am also changing the water pump.
