This thread could go on forever, but adding my 2p, I was with elephant for years and years, mainly because they could drop the prices based on any 'quote' I said I had off any other insurers, so might be worth a call.
No idea what they're like if you need to claim, etc, as was lucky enough not to.

I've now gone multicar and elephant is owned by Admiral so I'm with their policy now.

I'm with Admiral, it's just under £600 with full NCB and mileage limit which in practice I've found reasonable. I've been with then a few years now. All done on the 'phone with a very nice-sounding welsh girl.
The worst was Swinton (actually brokers) who tried to charge me £1800!!! They have a depot near me in Leeds Roundhay Rd.

I was with eSure for a long time as they offered a good price for the coverage offered. However, this year I've gone with Tesco's, because they offered me a blindingly good deal. £227. Esure this year were £297

Other quotes I got were from Adrian Flux £580, Direct Line £720, Admiral £540, Swintons £385. All quotes were Fully Comp with no claim protection, legal and no mileage limit.

Most the OH paid in 5 years was £360. Thats FC with business use, no legal cover.
Standard excess only.

Sure I insured it the final year for under £250 but had dropped the cover to TPFT. That was with a non fault claim, a blame claim and 3 points.

That was for a 2002 CRD Limited.

Think he biggest influence is where you live TBH.
