Smile Intermittent Radio no audio

Hi. I have a 2001 Town and Country LXI with stock radio and 5 CD changer. Every now and then, at least once a day, the radio goes out i.e. no sound but it is on, lights on, you can change stations etc. just no sound and the CD player dose not display the "ready" light. The controls on the steering wheel don't work either, no vol. or station control. I thought at first that it was a heat problem but now that the weather cooled off it still happens. I suspect the ignition sw. or harness because it only happens after I start the car. It never goes dead while driving. My HANES is no help it doesn’t show the steering wheel controls.
Thanks John

Same here, but with a 2003 (Limited) but it sometimes happens while driving. Hoping someone can shed some light into this little problem.
