Default Mystery bracket

I have a 2001 T&C w/ 3.8 ltr engine. I was removing the pieces attached to the timing gear cover with engine still installed in order to remove it. After getting the power steering pump off I found a black bracket about 6 1/2" long. It's got an offset curvature, is about 5/8" diameter with a welded nut (M8 thread) on one end and a slot hole on the other end. I don't remember unbolting this thing and it's not easy to see everything at the backside of the engine, so it must have been one of the anchor point for something I had already taken the bolt out of from the front side.

Is anyone familiar with this piece that can tell me what it's used for and where it goes?
Thanks, Joe

My first thought would be the alternator bracket! Or something from around there!

Okay, as I was putting the timing gear cover back on I saw that the bracket is part of the power steering pump supports. I see where it attaches to the timing gear cover and as I reinstall the power steering pump I expect I will find where the other end of the bracket attaches to the pump. Thanks for your help.
