I notice this on rear (axle?) AWD of my 01 T&C (oil leak) , just need new gasket and oil?
easy to do it?
I don't know the name of this part.

That is an axle/pinion seal... it doesn't appear to be majorly leaking, looks like seaping. it is very difficult to replace if you have minimal skills, tools and knowledge. plus if you don't know what you're doing, you can do a lot more damage than good. it would be best to leave that repair to a professional with the proper tools. You don't need to go to a dealer for this fix, just find a great quality repair shop. If you don't know of one, ask around. Go to the local resturant and shoot the bull with the old timers and get some opinions

ok I see!!

I'm doing a lot of repair myself on my cars, if yease and if not major!! like water pump on my 89 Ford Aerostar toke me 8hs but i did.
transmition oil change, radiator change, brakes, tune-up, both my Aerostar and 01 T&C.
Thanks for the feedback that is hard to do it so I won't shoot the bull..


does it look I have to do it right away?
