Default New Keys

I thought I'd bring this into a new thread, rather than continue to hi-jack another thread.

Firstly, before I started doing anything to get new keys, I noticed a couple of weeks ago that when I ready the codes on my 2001 Voyager, I got a P1685, which is an invalid key code. However, both keys I was supplied with the car worked without a problem - is there any way to clear this code, or is it something I should be concerned about?

I have bought 2 new key blanks and had them cut to the fit. I have tried the instructions that came with the keys to code the new keys (there are no instructions to do this in the owners manual I have - I wonder if the UK manuals don't include this so you do have to go to a dealer - it does say in the manual to do this) - at first, I managed to get the system into customer program mode (I think) as it chimed after 10 seconds on the second key being turned on, but no anti-theft light came on.

Now, however, I don't even seem to be able to get it into program mode - any ideas? The two original keys still work perfectly but I still get the P1685 code.

Still need help for this one. I have seen elsewhere that removing the memory fuse or disconnecting the battery will reset this code - can anyone confirm if this is the case?
