Default Noisy front suspension

The front suspension is noisy on my voyager - I gather from a bit of research that this is the front sway arms and/or bushes. Are these relatively easy to replace with just spanner/torque wrench or are there any special tools required. The are a number of replacement sway arms available on ebay (I'm in the UK) - does anyone have experience of these - are they a decent quality or should they be avoided?

Thanks.

bushings are easy. need to jack it up a bit to get to the bushings and you will need a deepwell 15 millimeter socket and a few smaller ones. get the bushings from NAPA http://www.napaonline.com (the blue ones) as the ones from the stealership will deteriorate just as yours have. I would start with the bushings first since they are 15 bucks for both(I did it the other way and wasted money on the sway bar connectors).

good luck

after installing new bushes, FIRST lower the car to the floor, rock it a few times, THEN tighten the bolts holding the bushes.

if the noise does not go away, it may be that the sway bar is worn out. part where bushes are wraping sway bar is thinned, sway bar is moving inside the bush and producing noise.
had the sam problem, but I didn't buy new sway. I took a part of bicycle tyre tube and placed it between the bush and the sway bar. it works fine, no noise for the last year or so.

Are these Chrysler original parts, cheap copies or good ones - anyone know?

Thanks for the fitting advice - that's going to save me quite a bit of cash I think

Try these. they look like the ones from NAPA. (the last set for $11 is what i would opt for) they ship across the pond...

I have used RockAuto in the past and was very happy.
