Default oil Changes

I just purchased a 2005 Chrylser Town and Country which came with a fresh oil change. If I were to do them myself from now on, at what point should I start using "High Milage" oil? The van right now has 127,000 miles.

The jury is still out on whether "high mileage" oil is meaningful. Many consider it just another gimmick. It has additives designed to "swell" gaskets to prevent oil leaks but if you don't have leaks in the first place, why bother. It sure won't hurt anything except your wallet if there's an added cost.

We have 4 vehicles in the family, all well over 100K miles. The caravan is pushing 215K miles. I've always used just regular dyno or synthetic oils. For decades now I've been changing the dyno oil every 5K miles and the synthetic oil every 7.5 K miles. Not a tick or drip from any vehicle.
