one click on start
Occasionally turning the fob to start on our 08 T&C produces one click. It has a new starter and solenoid. The fob battery has lots of power. In the 'no start' condition, these changes have no effect: changing the fob, using the remote start, trying to start in neutral, moving the gear lever. Rocking the van back and forth, sometimes even gently in the driver's seats always allows it to start. Any ideas?
Production date and title date is not the same , so before we start any guessing it was just to make it clear which model we are talking about .
Did you try to use both FOB's with the 10 sec. trick to see if the dashboard write any message ?

If you take the 2 Fob's and put them in ignition one at the time for 10 sec. the dispaly with write some thing . this is the way to program an extra Fob . so if you got a start inhibitor problem you are not able to program the extra Fob.
The way is to turn the Fob in ingnition on (don start engine) leave it in on pos. for 10 sec. then take the second fob. and turn is to on pos. for 10 sec. the display will write something . so if there is a Fob. problem this will not work.

As too trigger wire and not Tigger as I think he was a Tiger...The wire that operates the coil is the answer...I'm answering this cos I had a slack wire for months and starting produced only a click, until I waggled the connector on the coil. Just didn't get around to fitting a new female crimp. To test, if connector comes away easy it needs renewed or crushed slightly.
