Hi has anyone got a link or the specifications for pads and discs on a 2007 2.8crd grand voyager.

Thought the motor factors would have been capable of doing this, but I bought a set from gsf yesterday and both the discs and pads were wrong and by quite far.

 

I bought my last set in September from Eurocarparts. Just put in my reg on their website, selected the brand I wanted and opted for free delivery. When they arrived they were spot on.

Avoid Pagid from EuroCarParts if you can. Their marketing is slick and their braking power is very good, but they squeal like a banshee. In the last two years I have had to apply permatex compound twice to silence them, if only for nine months...!

Thanks for all your help. Purchased the discs and pads today with a 30% off deal they gave in my local branch. The discs were past it, very slightly warped and had a fairly deep lip on the edges and rubbing whilst driving. Usually I just add copper slip to the moving parts and thankfully never had a squeaking problem. Will get them fitted tonight.

 

Copper grease is strongly not advised on cars with ABS sensors. You should use ceramic paste.

 

To be honest I have never heard of that, I just smear a bit on to the runners and have never had issues with squeaking or ABD faults. Not sure of why it would be an issue but if there is detailed technical instructions I will gladly read up on it.

I would suggest to do a search on Google with "ABS brake system + copper paste" and you will find find that even the manufacturers of copper grease/paste recommend do NOT use their products on brake systems with ABS or any electronic sensors.
That is due to the nature of copper paste to be highly conductive which will wreck your sensors over time, even when used very careful it could very well end up in your sensor.
Ceramic grease/paste is much better suited for brake systems. It withstands high temperatures, is very good lubricating, non dripping and not conductive.
