Question Plastic spliter leaking coolant

I've got a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country, 4.0 with 6-speed auto. Just behind the thermostat housing there's a fitting with a 2 inch piece of heater hose that connects to a plastic "Y" splitter which connects to 2 heater hoses. It appears that this plastic piece is leaking coolant. Anyone knows if this is a dealer only part? Or is there something available at the local parts store? Anyone know of a Home depot or plumbing store type of splitter that will work?

Thanks,
Wylde1.

Common failure. You can pay the dealer big bucks, get the part on-line or get a "t" fitting from many sources including Home Depot. There's a thread somewhere on the many forums I cruise that covers this in depth. I'll see if I can find it.

Didn't find "it" but found one that should fill the bill: http://forum.chryslerminivan.net/sho...ot-Y-quot-tube

I tried a quick search on here for "coolant leak" but came up with nothing. I'm never good at searching for any stuff on forums - even the A-body forum for my 1971 Dodge Demon.

The JB WaterWeld turned a steady stream into a slight drip. I know it's not going to hold. Thanks for the posts. I now have part numbers to work with. I'm off to the local parts store to see if they have the Murray part. If not I'll try the GM dealer.

BTW my Chrysler dealer wants $240 for the assembly but will give me the dealer cost of $175. Ouch! No thanks.

$240 ya that's about right for a dealership. You're going to have fun walking in there and telling them you fixed it for a few bucks.
