Default Please Help Over heating?? I think!!!

Hello, I have a 2000 Chrysler Voyager 2.4. I have an overheating problem? When I am driving the temperature gauge goes all the way and stops just before the red line but when I slow down or stop the gauge returns to normal. I replaced the water pump, thermostat and temp sensor. The fans seems to be working fine.
What my problem is that the temp gauge goes up and returns to normal very quickly. It is not possible for an engine to over heat and cools down so quickly. So I replace the sensor but still the same issue.

Second issue Does anyone know how much work it is to replace the heater core? And / or have instructions? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

well there in lies what can be your prob was it the right engine for the wiring and computer setup?? the fans might not come on when required. Things like that happen when correct things are not replaced with the right ones.
The heater core remove the dash and HVAC housing split the housing and there it is. And then again it could have over heated because u did not fix the first problem to which u replaced the engine in the first place for.Sorry therewill be no way i can help out with this one.
