Default power rear door

I want to haul some boards sticking out of the back of the van. How do I do that with a power rear door that wants to close when I put the van in gear?

Does it, never tried and found that out. The Voyager carries 8x4 sheets easily, and 3m lengths inside. I usually carry a battery powered 18v Dewalt saw and cut the lengths to size at timber merchants.
