problem with 2003 t/c

my wife has a 2003 town and country and a few days ago she went to start it and it wouldnt start.it turns over but it wont start.it sounds weird like when you turn the key to start it,it turns over faster then usual but wont start.i did the "key dance" and check to see if there are any codes and i got 2 (p1684) and (p1388).
thank you for youre help

P1388-auto shutdown relay control circuit

possible causes
asd relay operation
fused b+ output circuit
asd relay
ipm fuse & relay center
(k51) asd relay control circuit open
(k51) asd relay control circuit short to ground
pcm

P1684....Battery disconnected during last 50 starts

Not a lot of help but don't think thats as important as the other error code

I went to start it just to see if it would start, and it did.it started for a few seconds than it died again.is there a way totest the ignition coil to see if its working correctly.or any ideas on what it could be the problem .thank you

U already know your issue is with the ASD relay circuits that is where u need to concentrate

valente 08-02-2010 03:34 PM

thank you.i swaped the ASD relay in the fuse box with another one in the box, just swaped them around but it didnt do any good.

CHRYSLER TECH 08-02-2010 11:28 PM

its not an asd relay issue

it is gonna be a wire issue or a pcm issue

valente 08-13-2010 08:18 PM

well,i went to see if i had spark but there is no spark on any spark plug wire.could it be the computer that went bad.is there a test that maybe could tell you that it did go bad.thank you:confused:
