Is this the rad bleed screw?

Hi guys...

I was planning on changing the coolant a few weeks back on my 56 (84k)plate GV 2.8L oil burner but never got round to it! Its on the cards for tomorrow! My laptop has died so can't access my workshop cd-rom to check the pics. Can anyone confirm that this pic I took is the drain plug for the coolant rad please?🙏😃👍

My 2002 GV 2,5 crd has the draining plug (plastic lock, you just unscrew it halftwist) was on the left side when you stand in front of car. Radiators left down corner. Barely my fingers fitted from under (you have to take off the plastic covering under engine).

Happy days mate. Thought it looked like the rad drain. I should be able to get my skinny hand through the front vent to be able to turn it.

Well the coolant change all done!used comma xstream G05 which is the chrysler MS9769 spec! Used 5L with about 3L of de-ionized water. Flushed the system through about 7 times to make sure that all the old green anti-freeze was gone. Tested the coolant and now protected down to -30! Happy days

I've now noticed that the temp gauge gets upto 1/4 heat s lot quicker now! Even gets upto the 1/2 way on idle. There are 2 pipes that go to the rad on the passenger side that font seem to get hot at all! Even though the top(hard pipe) that runs next to the expansion tank gets boiling hot! Does anyone know why that is? Not sure if the thermostat is faulty or this is how it works! Kinda guessing that the thermo is okay or the temp gauge wouldn't get to where it does? Anyone have any ideas???
